Characteristics of a polymer coupling
In addition to a high torsion spring stiffness, which is achieved by the design and the corresponding choice of material, polymer couplings are characterised by very low restoring forces. All polymer couplings are electrically insulating, transmit angular synchronous rotary movements and have an impact and vibration damping effect. Each coupling also offers the advantage of thermal isolation between the drive shaft and the rotary encoder. We offer cross-slotted couplings in various sizes, the basic body is injection moulded from polyamide and has positive-locking brass hubs for an optimised shaft connection.
