Multi jaw couplings belong to the family of non-shiftable, rigid couplings. They transmit torques positively via tooth flanks and are very well suited for the precise transmission of high torques in both directions of rotation.
Multi jaw couplings are ideal for connecting two shafts together. However, it is not possible to compensate for misalignments, as is the case with helix couplings.
